Itinerary

Day 1: Karibu Arusha

Karibu means welcome. You will be picked up from the Airport by our guide and conveyed to your accommodation in Arusha where you will Overnight, Relax and Prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come. You will stay at Mvuli Hotel that provides a countryside environment within a city. The Hotel is surrounded by large lush gardens bordering a beautiful tree plantation and a stream of fresh clear water flowing all year round from the surrounding mountains, providing a unique charm.

Day 2: Arusha to Lake natron

After breakfast, You will drive to Lake Natron. Lake Natron is the lowest point of the Great Rift Valley and famous for a vast number of flamingos and other water birds due to a high concentrate of in sodium carbonate, algae, and zooplankton. You can go for a hike up the Ngare Sero River which flows in the Lake Natron In contrast to the surrounding dry landscape Also you will visit Maasai Boma. Rise at midnight to a coffee, tea, and a light snack before heading toward the foothills of Ol Doinyo Lengai, where your trek to the summit will begin. The trek is quite demanding and as there is no shade on the mountain, you will need to bring a good hat and plenty of water. The terrain underfoot consists of rough scree, lava, and volcanic ash, with steep gullies and furrows to negotiate. Once you reach the summit you can explore the two craters with caution, as one of them is still active. You will Descend down by mid-morning, Then drive back to your lodge for some rest and breakfast.

Day 3: Lake Natron

After breakfast, you will visit lake natron: one of the most alkaline lakes in the world. Home to millions of tiny crustaceans, the lake is a haven for thousands of lesser flamingos and is one of the most important flamingo breeding grounds on earth. The area around the lake is dry and desolate. The strangely beautiful landscape is the attraction in this area. In the afternoon, you can take a long walk to the Ngare Sero river. After a strenuous walk up the stream, you will reach the source of the river, in cascading waterfalls the river gushes out of the mountains. You will enjoy a refreshing swim in the river and under the waterfalls for a nice cool-down from the hot sun. There may be baboons or other wildlife in the gorge. Late Afternoon you will drive to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 4: Lake Natron - Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast at your lodge, You will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a beautifully game drive. Lake Manyara National Park which is an unspoiled paradise and is best known for its abundance of birds and tree-climbing lions. The dramatic western escarpment of the Rift Valley forms the Park’s western border. To the east is the shallow, alkaline Lake Manyara. The lake covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos during the rains. The Park’s vegetation is diverse, ranging from savannah to evergreen forest. During your exploration of the park, you may see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and if you are lucky; lions lounging in the trees. After lunch and an extensive game drive, You will drive back to Arusha.
