Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha - Lake Natron

Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and drive you to Lake Natron. The drive is fairly long and you will reach Lengai Safari Lodge some time after lunch. At the same time, the scenery on the way is picturesque and you will have an opportunity to see the local people, including Maasai tribesmen, as well as some African wildlife. After your check-in a guide will take you to Ngare Sero waterfalls. The trail runs through a gorge and you will sometimes need to ford the stream, so we recommend that you wear sandals or the like to avoid constantly having to take your shoes off. A drive to the lakeshore, where you get a chance to capture its great scenery on camera takes place before you return to the Lodge for dinner and some rest.
Accommodation: Lengai Safari Lodge

Day 2: Lake Natron - Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning, take a tour to witness vast number of flamingoes in the lake, you’ll explore the lake on foot. The ground is quite slippery and muddy, so be prepared to slowly slide over it in order to avoid falling. It’s very shallow for quite some time though, so it’s up to you to see how far you want to go to get close to the flamingos. We’ll start very early until around 9;00Am, as this is the time when the flamingos are most active, looking for food. After the visit, you’ll return to your Moivaro Campsite for Breakfast. After your breakfast depart for Serengeti National Park.
Accommodation: Moivaro Campsite

Day 3: Serengeti National Park (North)

After breakfast, you will go on for a morning game drive, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffes, and hundreds upon hundreds of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant's gazelle. The spectacle of predators versus prey dominates Tanzania's greatest park. Golden–mained lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the Acacia trees lining the Serengeti. During the end of July through the beginning of August, expanse herds of migrating wildebeest are normally heading north back to Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya and one of the rivers they cross is Mara River. Large crocodiles take advantage of these crossings and make for themselves easy food. Lunch at the Public Campsite. Later you will drive to Central Serengeti National Park For Dinner and Overnight.

Day 4: Central Serengeti NP - Ngorongoro Highland

After breakfast at your Camp, Morning game drive within the Serengeti National Park to see the animals in the dark Opens onto the Serenora valley, a vibrant wildlife area at the heart of the Serengeti. The Valley is famous for its resident animal population that one can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. Return to your Campsite for lunch and check out. Later proceed with a drive to Ngorongoro Highland for dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite.
Accommodation: Simba Campsite

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Eyasi

Breakfast at Simba Campsite, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a wonderful game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is just one of those places that has to be seen – words alone cannot do it justice. Leaving our lodge we’ll drive down into what was once, many eons ago, the fiery heart of a huge volcano. Today this natural amphitheatre has a much more peaceful atmosphere as Wildebeest, Coke’s Hartebeest, Grant’s and Thomson’s Gazelles, and Common Zebra feed contentedly - or at least as contentedly as the ever present Lions and Cheetah will allow, although the Black Rhinoceros here will be less concerned about these predators. The bird life in the crater varies according to the seasons but during our visit we should see Grey Crowned Crane, Lappet-faced Vulture, Black-bellied and Kori Bustards, Fischer’s Lovebird and Northern Anteater Chat among many others. Lunch to be saved at the designated picnic site in the Crater. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Eyasi Campsite.
Accommodation: Lake Eyasi Campsite

Day 6: Lake Eyasi (Hunting With The Hadzabe) - Lake Manyara NP

Today will be a very special and different day. You will wake up very early, just before sunrise, and follow your guide until he finds the Hadzabe Tribe, one of the last true nomadic tribes in Africa. After some explanations about the tribe, the experiences you do with the tribe can either be joining the men in their daily hunting, or the women in their fruit gathering session. In either of them, you will learn about many aspects of the Hadzabe way of living, it is an experience out of the beaten track and does not feel touristic by any means, definitely a highlight of your S afari. As well you may visit the beautiful Lake Eyasi, a season shallow salt lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley to see fishermen and flamingoes on the lake shore. Later, drive back to Lake Manyara for dinner and Overnight at Twiga Campsite.
Accommodation: Twiga Campsite

Day 7: Lake Manyara - Arusha

Breakfast at Twiga Campsite, you’ll then drive into Lake Manyara National Park, its beautiful park with it’s lush vegetation and tropical forests of giant fig and mahogany trees. The park is famous for Elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and a variety of antelope inhabit the park as well as a variety of monkeys and a large population of hippo’s. If you are lucky you may see the Tree Climbing Manyara lions, lazily resting on the branches of an “Acacia tortilis” tree. The birdlife is also abundant, with flamingoes, pelicans, hornbills and plenty of forest species. Late lunch at Twiga Campsite followed by a drive back to Arusha.
