As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of Wildebeest, Zebras and attendant predators. Later drive back to your Camp for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2: Masai Mara for Big Game

Today you’ll enjoy incredible morning and afternoon game drives on the plains of the Masai Mara. This iconic reserve offers amazing wildlife viewing opportunities. It’s highly likely that you’ll see zebra, impala, gazelle, wildebeest, buffalo, rhino and elephant, plus lion, cheetah and leopard. Your lodge or camp may also offer a night game drive, where you’ll see nocturnal animals such as aardvarks and honey badgers.

In addition to game drives, there are a range of other activities you can participate in during your time in the Masai Mara. These include cultural visits to Maasai villages and markets, guided bush walks, horse riding, and black rhino tracking. If you wish, you can take an early morning hot-air balloon ride over the plains and forests of the Masai Mara, followed by a champagne breakfast.

Day 3: Drive To Lake Nanuru NP

After breakfast, depart from the Mara through the Maasai plains and the Mau escarpments into the floor of the Rift Valley. Arrive in the flamingo-fringed Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. We will embark on a comprehensive game drive through this scenic park, including visits to viewpoints offering superb photo opportunities.

Lake Nakuru is one of several Rift Valley lakes, and its ecosystem supports a wide range of ecological diversity, with flamingos (greater and lesser) and other waterbirds as the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals, including the white rhino and buffaloes, and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha

We will have an early morning drive to Lake Naivasha. It is the highest and most beautiful of the Rift Valley lakes. Naivasha is yet another area popular for birdwatching (over 400 species). There are no crocodiles in the lake as the water is too cold for them, due to the altitude, but there are a number of hippos. Along the lakeshore, vineyards produce grapes for the country’s fledgling wine industry.

One of the activities that you will do in Naivasha is a boat ride. You will also visit Crescent Island. It can be described as a garden, an animal sanctuary or simply a little paradise. This magical space offers a number of unforgettable experiences you should definitely experience. If you enjoy nature photography, you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of Crescent Island.

Day 5: Amboseli NP - Home to Elis

We will depart early in the morning after breakfast towards Amboseli National Park with lunch en route. Your guide will take you on an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is synonymous with two particular things: majestic herds of elephant and glorious views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya's most popular parks. It is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. On a clear evening, you can catch a view of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro. Also to be found in Amboseli are herds of wildebeests, buffaloes, gazelles and many other wildlife.

Day 6: Amboseli NP - Home to Elis

You will rise early for good views of the scenic Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is the best wildlife area in Africa to experience elephants at close range. Elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps form the highlights of any safari!

Possible optional visit to a Maasai village after breakfast. You will see the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 7: Tsavo West

To make the most of the day in Tsavo West National Park, Take early breakfast and depart for Tsavo West. You will arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Tsavo West is the most visited section in the Tsavo National Park, offering many attractions apart from its wildlife. The foremost is the famous Mzima Springs, where up to 227.3 million liters of cool, crystal-clear water flows out of the ground through porous volcanic rocks. The water is believed to originate from Chyulu Hills via an underground river. Here, you will also meet the vast red-dust elephants, among other wildlife species such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 8: Back To Nairobi
